You don't look different, but you have changed...
Been a minute, huh?
I got busy and sick and busy and sick and here we are three weeks later.
This is typically the moment when I quit something. I get distracted or take a break and then I think “well no one cares, so I’ll let that die and start something new down the road”. But this morning my wife reminded me I’m a habitual quitter (it’s true, and my least favorite thing about me behind my naughty food habits!) so I decided to crack this thing open for a quick post to get me back on track.
This weekend I’m hoping to find time to watch the new Beatles documentary. I’m really looking forward to it as I’ve heard good things.
I came to The Beatles in my 30s and it has been so fun working backwards and seeing the influence they’ve had on all the music I’ve loved my whole life.
I don’t need to explain The Beatles to you…here are my five favorite Beatles songs right now.
THE BEATLES - GLASS ONION
I want to start a band that sounds exactly like this.
THE BEATLES - SOMETHING
One of my favorite guitar solos of all time. Ringo’s playing is so good on this song.
THE BEATLES - I’M LOOKING THROUGH YOU
A new addition, but I just love this song so much. I’m not a huge Paul guy for what its worth!!
THE BEATLES - HELP!
One of the few songs of theirs where the lyrics really hit me hard.
THE BEATLES - AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING
You can hear so many bands in this song. Power pop at its best. It just straight up fucking rocks.
BYE! See you soon hopefully!
